More monkey swingin’!

Swingin’ monkey Hayden strikes again! Warning: There is a frightening twist near the end, but no one was harmed in the making of this movie.

Yes, that’s Auntie Jai. She graduated from BYU this last Friday. Soon she’ll graduate to a big girl swing, too.

Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men?

Hayden discovered his shadow today! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures. But my mom was holding him and said that he was staring at his shadow. How old will he be before he realizes what makes the shadow move?

Obviously, this is not Hayden’s shadow.

Oh, and the answer to the title of this post: the Shadow knows! [maniacal laugh]

How many good guys get to laugh in a maniacal and sinister manner in the introduction to their show?

Dear Mr. Gatorade

Dear Mr. Gatorade,

My son’s vast experience in enthusiastic beverage consumption makes him an ideal candidate for the position of celebrity Propel spokesperson. In addition to being exceptionally cute, he accurately portrays just how delicious and delectable your Propel water beverage is.

Throughout his six months of life thus far, Hayden has been quite picky in his culinary delights. His drink of choice is milk. He tends to scorn other drinks, including water and infant formula. Additionally, he has consistently rejected his Avent bottle for two months now. He finds the mouthpiece on your Propel water bottle particularly appealing.

Rather than continuing to extol the skills and virtues of my young son, I would much rather prove to you that he would make an excellent spokesperson for your product. I respectfully submit the following videos* as proof:

I believe he can apply these same skills to a celebrity Propel spokesperson position with your company. With adorable baby Hayden as your spokesperson, your sales of Propel are sure to increase. We eagerly await your call.

Sincerely,
Jordan MamaBlogga

*No Haydens were harmed in the making of these videos.

Snugglebug . . . or snugglepup . . .

Lucky Spunky Puppy! (That’s the little stuffed dog’s name; it says so on its tag.)

Thanks to my Aunt Janet & Uncle Paul for sending us Hayden’s “lovey.” It’s perfect. It’s a tiny little blue velour puppy. It has a rattle in its belly. Hayden loves it, as you can see here.

“My baby’s amazing!”

For about a week, every night at his last diaper change before bath & bed, Hayden peed on me. Okay, okay, once on Ryan, twice in the tub, but the rest were all me.

I know that I have a little boy and this is allegedly one of the infamous hazards of little boys, but it seemed like a bit much. He really doesn’t do that very often.

But after the ninth or tenth night of being peed on, I knew I had to take action. So I did. Last Wednesday, instead of undressing Hayden in his room before his bath, I took him straight into the bathroom. I held him over the potty in an “EC’ing” position and . . . he peed in the potty (and a few other places). Six months old. Peeing in the potty.

Ryan walked in as Hayden was peeing in the potty. He was pretty much astounded. He exclaimed, “My baby’s amazing!” Of course, we already knew that.

Note: since then, he has peed in the potty 2 or 3 more nights. Pretty impressive, huh?
